Poor Scholars Real World Exchange: ‘Ex-Plosion’ is fantastic

The Real World is back on MTV’s airwaves and they’ve changed the format on some things with the new “Ex-Plosion” season. Now, after putting the Real World cast into the house for a few weeks, MTV sends in the cast’s exes to live with them for the remainder of the show.

Poor Scholars’ own Pat Flynn and Scott Phillips broke down the new cast — and format — in an exchange conducted last week. The duo breaks down the cast, potential Challenge competitors and the man that was born to be on the Real World: Cory.

Extra Points: Thoughts on eliminating football’s PAT

Recently, my favorite “non-profit organization” sponsor Roger Goodell made the bold proposal to remove the extra-point and change the touchdown to 7 points. The option will be given to teams for a 1-point conversion run/pass play (substituting the 2-point conversion).

The extra-point! C’mon Goodell! Oh, the audacity you have to make such statements! The extra-point is oh-so engraved within our hearts as being… nothing.

Social media is any shy individual’s safe haven; they put on a persona which they could never execute otherwise due to the limitations of face-to-face interaction.

What does that say about society as a whole? Are we linearly growing more awkward on the scene and more vibrant on the screen?
